Not exactly what you are thinking, this was harmless

  1. My wife and I met Ibrahim in Larabanga where he very kindly directed us to Mole.
The meeting was purely by chance, but he seemed very nice and we arranged to meet him after our visit to the national park.
I am very glad we did as the day we spent with him was the best of our entire trip to Ghana.
First he took us on a Canoe Safari which was a fantastic experience. He then gave us a guides tour round a Ghanaian village meeting people along the way who explained more about how they lived.
Finally we went to the oldest mosque in the region and had a tour of Larabanga.
I would recommend Ibrahim to everyone. If you are going to Mole National Park (or even close to there!) save a day - at least - of your trip and spend it with Ibrahim.
Make sure you ask him about the phenomenal work that he is doing for the orphanage there as his big heart will make you love him even more.

  2. My friend and I met Ibrahim when he came to pick us up at the Junction to head to Mole National Park. Ibrahim was referred to us by our other colleagues that went to Mole the previous weekend. I am very pleased to have met Ibrahim, as he safely drove us to Mole and advised us on which excursions to do at Mole, as we had strict time restraints. He also took us to his own home in the Larabanga Community, where we visited the oldest Mosque in Ghana and the Mystic Stone. Ibrahim also advised us to take ANY opportunity we got to see elephants as it very difficult to spot them during the rainy season. Thankfully, Ibrahim heard elephants were heading close and so he informed us immediately and we joined him. We saw multiple elephants right outside the Mole Motel! It was a beautiful experience. Furthermore, when heading back to Accra, Ibrahim set up transportation for us and we went to Tamale with Mashud, Ibrahim's brother. From Tamale, Mashud provided us transportation to arrive safely at the Tamale Airport.

Ibrahim also founded the Larabanga Active Education and Cultural Foundation (LAECF). Ibrahim and his brother Mashud take care of a large number of the cutest and sweetest children. It was absolutely moving to see how much these children love Ibrahim and to see how much he adores them. I miss these children dearly.

Overall, Ibrahim provided us with so much care and love throughout our trip and it was an absolute pleasure meeting him and his family. We had an amazing experience in Mole and in the Larabanga Community. I cannot wait to return to Ghana. Thank you very much for such a beautiful experience.
